Elizabeth Faraday
I am looking forward to the 2019- 2020 school year. I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child so I look forward to working with parents, administrators, teachers, and specialists to ensure each of my students has an amazing school year!
A little about me. This is my 18th year of teaching and my third year at Montair. Over the years, I have taught in preschool through middle school special education programs, and feel so fortunate to be a part of the Montair staff. I believe it is important to teach to the whole child; therefore, I implement dynamic and flexible seating in my classroom, as well as Mindfulness. I believe a child’s curiosity to learn leads to their success in school. By creating a learning environment where students feel safe, they can thrive both academically and socially. Personally, I have been married to my husband, Jeff, for 37 years. We both grew up in Marin Couny, met in high school, and have lived in the San Ramon Valley for over 20 years. Our two children attended Rancho Romero, Stone Valley, and Monte Vista. Spencer (27) is currently living in Portland, Oregon and will begin pilot training school. Ainsley (24) is in her first year of USC’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program. When I am not working, I love to spend time at our cabin on Huntington Lake in the Sierras- kayaking, hiking, and backpacking. I also love to travel, visit with family, and spend time at home. This is a picture of me in the mountains with my dog, Axel. Here is to an amazing school year!
